Introduction to the Caduceus as a model for the dynamics of Qi: pathways, flow, and energetics [light].

Introduction to kinesiology as feedback - idiosyncracies, errors and assumptions

Introduction to mudras as communication language - history, classical use, present neurological models. Initial protocol and modes.

Entry procedures - the language of 'display' - client's presenting features. The idea of 'alarms'.

Day 2

Historical overview TCM viz. modern interpretation / ideas.
Introduction / review of meridian pathways and concepts
Visual demonstration of conceptual model on student - seeing the big picture.
Student session - introduction to initial modes, application of 'entry' procedure' and mode for meridian / point 'on-display'.

Review of initial difficulties / questions / visual and kinesthetic practice
Introduction of Mudras - initial line of inquiry. The three entry procedures - the alarms, dragon rising and entry of qi.
Meridian exploration - detail: drawing / tracing.
Introduction to Mudras - The nature of the Tao, Heaven and Earth and our relationship to it.
Archetypal elements - 5 elements, Ko cycle and divisible qi.

Day 3

Review.
Prenatal / ancestral or congenital qi and Time as influences. Applicable modes
Practice - entry - initial protocol - initial inquiry - challenge for elements of Time - modified Horary dynamics.

Introduction to Mudras - External and internal influences, Ancestral qi, Pernicious or Sei Qi, Nourishing and Protective Qi and the relationship to the Jiao or internal spaces.

Putting the pieces together. Streamlining the model
How do we use this efficiently, in practice?
